Explanation of Archimedes’ Offspring Vetting Process

First, you will need to complete and sign our standard form of Non-Disclosure Agreement (“NDA Form”), which you can find —> here. The NDA Form is a PDF-fillable form, which means you can complete it online and then download the completed copy for your signature.

Complete the NDA Form: If you haven’t done so already, download the NDA Form. Fill in your name, the name of your company (if applicable) and your address and sign it where it says “Disclosee”.  Once you’ve completed and signed the NDA Form, send it to us electronically at the email address indicated above.  The Vetting Team will send you a copy of the fully-executed NDA Form for your files, countersigned by a representative of AOS Management, Inc. (“AOS”).

Once you receive the fully-executed copy of the NDA Form from us, you are ready to begin the Vetting Process.

However, before sitting down to begin the Application itself, first click —> here to view our Terms of Use.  THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP!  BY SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION TO US, YOU ARE DEEMED TO HAVE ACCEPTED OUR TERMS OF USE.  Accordingly, you owe it to yourself to carefully review those terms in order to satisfy yourself that they are acceptable to you.

After reading our Terms of Use, you’re ready to begin the Application for Vetting process. This will entail

  1. payment of the processing fee of $25.00
  2. completing and signing the Application for Vetting form (the “Application”),
  3. providing a copy of a professional Patent / Product Search,
  4. providing a copy of Patentability Opinion, and
  5. uploading a signed copy of the Application, along with copies of the Patent / Product Search and Patentability Opinion, to AOS using the Uploader Form which appears below.

As indicated above, along with the completed Application, you must provide:

  • a comprehensive professional patent/product search from any reputable Patent/Product Search company.  (Note: the current market rate for a full search averages $499 to $2,000+, depending on the search company you use and the complexity of the search). (If you would like a list of Search companies, please contact the Archimedes Offspring Vetting Team at the email address specified above.); and
  • a “Patentability Opinion” issued by a qualified Patent Attorney who is currently registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  (Again, check in with the Vetting Team if you need a referral to a registered patent attorney or if you have other questions.)
If you’ve read the above and you wish to proceed with the Vetting Process, click the PayPal button immediately below. You will be taken to PayPal, where you’ll be able to pay the processing fee either using your PayPal account (if you have one) or, if you prefer, using a credit card.

Once the processing fee has been paid, you’ll be redirected to our “Thank You” page acknowledging our receipt of your payment. That page will also contain a link to the Application form. The Application form, like the NDA Form, is a PDF-fillable form.

Complete the Application form. Provide answers to each question posed. If the answer is “none” or “not relevant”, so state.

Once you’ve completed the Application form, if you haven’t already done so, download the Application form to your desktop, arrange to sign it (either manually or electronically), and then, along with electronic copies of the following documents (all of which should now be stored on your desktop in anticipation of uploading them to AOS):

  • invention patent / product search
  • invention patentability opinion
  • labeled sketches, digital photographs and/or videos (and where relevant, flowcharts, high level network diagrams, etc.) of your invention (or prototype)

upload all of them to AOS using the Uploader form that appears immediately below. Once the forms, sketches, photographs, etc. have been selected using the “Select File” button”, then click the “Upload File” button that appears beside it .

Once our Vetting Team has received your completed Application Form and accompanying documents, they’ll be in touch with you.
